End of an Era

Tonight I told my class that next week would be the last time I’d teach them. It wasn’t really an easy thing to do, but it was something that was inevitable.
I was happy teaching, just not happy with everything that goes with it. It was getting to be too much like work, and I found myself almost dreading my own training and the paperwork associated with teaching a class.
I guess, when it gets to that point, it’s time to get out. The joy of teaching just wasn’t balancing out everthing else.
Add to that the fact that my knee (dislocated nearly 3 years ago now) still hurts almost constantly, and teaching and training only makes it almost impossible to walk on.
Another big deciding factor is the fact that I now have more responsibility at work now, and the expectation is that I can work back at the drop of a hat. Which I don’t mind doing - I enjoy it, perversely enough - but being committed to (at least) 2 nights a week to karate just doesn’t fit in with that.

Life goes on.

At the moment, my monitor has decided to display the desktop in an area about 1/4 of the whole screen. In the middle. With the left hand edge wrapped.
On top of that, it will flicker, shake, and make the whole screen pop in and out of existence more times than a Q (no offence, Q).
On another note, my car now no longer smells just of coffee (see post below) but now also has that heady aroma of off milk.

This is so cool. I’ve added it to the links on the side, and once I find a site for it that works, I’ll implement it here!

Laughter at my expense

Went to get breakfast today from the local cafe.
5 orders, all good…until I get into mr car with a tray of 4 cappucinos.
Now, I don’t know if I clipped the steering wheel getting in, or if the tray collapsed, but the 4 cups of coffee ended up mostly in a puddle on my driver’s seat, with the rest on the floor. Some also landed on my pants, which are now almost dry.
But now I smell like my parents own a coffee shop (just call me Tweek).
But, the mobile bottleshop is coming today, so this is good. Pretty soon, I’ll smell like a drunk who lives in a coffee shop.
