I sadly under post to this part of the site. I’ve just been reading the stats, and this page is not read very often. So, as I have said before but this time I mean it, I resolve to keep this page updated.
No, really.

I guess posting bits and pieces over the course of the day is better than trying to post one big post once a day. Tany does it, gil sorta does it.
I’ll work on it.

I kow, it’s including the weekend, but hey, that’s allright. I just hope that nobody from work calls me on Monday or Tuesday.
For then, I shall have to clean the guns (twitch).

It seems I have a (in my opinion) worthwhile post to put here at last. Pity it has to come from bad circumstances.
On a public forum, where people I count as friends participate (and I do not) regularly, a troll appeared. This troll set about offending, generally and personally the members of this public forum.
Now, there are those who will stand back and say “He has a right to free speech”. Well so do I and I’m about to exercise it.
I don’t care what anybody has to say, on any topic, at any time. Unless it becomes personal attacks on people, including calling into question their morals. When somebody verbally abuses people I respect, people I believed were friends, then I feel the need to retaliate REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THAT PERSON HAD THE RIGHT TO SAY IT. Nobody has the right to verbally assault another. Nobody should have to put up with it. Free speech be damned.
If I’m in the street, and a complete stranger walks up to my wife, and tells her to ‘Fuck off bitch’, or calls into question her morals as a lady, then I’m sorry, put a call in to Kofi cos I’ll punch that prick so many times before he hits the ground he’ll wonder what life was like without pain, all for his “right” to free speech.
I would do the same for any I count as a friend. And I’d like to think that my friends would do the same for me.
Apparantly not.
Apparently, the rights of some fuck to verbally abuse people and especially women (call me old fashioned, but you just don’t do that to women) is more important than friendship.
Well, excuse me.
And if free speech is so important, why do I get a verbal smackdown for voicing my opinion? Apparently some are free-er than others.
I made mention of the fact that this person uses multiple servers and fake email addresses to hide. Now let me make this clear.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT UNLESS YOU DO SO IN ORDER TO HIDE FROM THOSE YOU ATTACK.
Got that? Good. Now all those who said “Will you attack me next cos I do that?” can perhaps understand what my original post said.
What I was doing, and I’ll try to use small words here, was attempting to draw to his attention the fact that his serial trolling was not smart, or tolerated anyway, and that his history of personal attacks would not be tolerated by me.
Now, I’m sorry if I trod on some toes for presuming to speak on behalf of my friends. I realise now that questioning his right to free speech will cause trade embargoes on me by the UN.
But you know what? I don’t care. Because I know that helping out a friend is more important that somebody’s right to verbal abuse.
Now all that’s left for me to do is look carefully at whom I call ‘friend’.
If you have a problem with anything I’ve said here, tell it to the fucking wall. I’m not interested. If you have a right to free speech, then I have a right to ignore you.
Just leave my friends out of it.
