Scary

Following is an article found on theage.com.au. How would *you* like to be told what documents you can read, what email you can receive and what software you can run?

Remember when I said I’d post more? Hands up who believed it?
That’s what I thought.
I don’t think I’ll have much time to post for a little while, as work has decided that the webpage should be sexier, and Dean The Other Cadguy’s wife decided to have her baby early so now he gets 2 weeks off.
How inconsiderate.
Come to think of it, I can probably work up some rants about work, etc. But that’d just bore you more.

Spiders
I hate ‘em, and they know it. There’s one on my car. Somewhere.
Last one that was on my car, ran down the windscreen once. I hit the wipers to brush it off, as I was doing 100 at the time.
It caught the wiper.
So there he was, this spider, wind rushing through his 8 hairy legs as he went backwards and forwards across the windscreen while travelling at 120kph (I thought to myself at this point, maybe if I go faster, the wind will prove to be too much for him, and he’ll let go. No such luck.)
I think his little spider face was pulled back in a wind/g-force assisted grin, and I swear I herd a little spider voice say “Go faster! Faster!”.

Innaugural Kozaru Meet

Well, that was fun.
Just home from Melbourne’s sunny Southbank where we (Sephy ‘n Me) spent the afternoon with Waylander and Spirit-Wolf (PlatinumWeaver).
I dunno about them, but I had a great time.
We parked ourselves in a booth in an Irish pub, had a few pints of Kilkenny (mmmm…smoooth) and chatted away the time. Next, off to hunt some dinner, pizza and pasta was the go for that, then we wandered up towards the casino, then wandered back, at which point we went our separate ways.
The time seemed to go all too quick, it certainly didn’t feel like 4 hours had passed.
Anyhoo, it was a good precursor to Kozaru-palooza late in 2003, where everyone will be coming to Melbourne.

Won’t you. (not a question).

Dates

Dates should be right now. It’s amazing what you forget when you don’t use it. Took me ages to fix these.

High tech security

Just got a call from my boss. Alarm’s gone off at work. My initial response was, I locked the doors, and that’s why we pay for security.
No. Apparently somebody needs to attend the scene, mainly to let security in.
That’s right, security deosn’t have a frickin key.
So, since Boss is in Sydney, Bossette was out bush somewhere, I get stuck with it, seeing as I’m the closest.
So back I trudge to work. I meet security. Nice man. He let me go first.
To switch off the alarm y’know.
Once that was all clear, he bravely led the way in checking the place out.
Nothing.
Funny that.
So we wandered about, set off an alarm I didn’t disarm, disarmed it, closed doors, armed the alarms and got the all clear from base that All Was Good.

There’s an hour of my life I’ll never have back.
