Some geeks turned a bunch of PS2s into SkyNet. It’s not self-aware yet, but plans for something called “wafer circuits” are being produced…

Watching late night TV the other night (actually during Mars Attacks), we saw an ad that we haven’t seen in a long long time.
This won’t mean much to people not living in Victoria, but this guy is a Melbourne institution – his words echo through the hills when one wants to describe somthing that is on sale, and is ridiculously cheap.
I am speaking of none other than Franco Cozzo.
http://www.cozzo.com.au and click on “hear his words”.
At last, he’s bigger than Bruns-a-wick and Foot-us-cray.

What is this, you may well ask?

On v4, if you look to the left, under the nav links, you can see a little drop-down box with “SKIN ME!” underneath it.
You can select from the standard v4 colours, or plain black boxes.
Like I said, I’m all creativitied out. But the concept works.
Any skins you want to do (Wolf) need to be all CSS, as the list sets a variable for a cookie, containing the name of the css file – eg “Solid Boxes” is boxes.css. Simple.
OK, hopefully posting this entry will update an RSS file. It mostly a test for Kozaru V4, and is accessable via http://www.kozaru.net/rss/rss.xml for now. If you view the v4 site, gilmae’s RSS feed and mine should appear on the right hand side, mostly as a test.
[EDIT] I’ve put is Slashdot news, and ThinkGeek’s RDF. I’m noticing the Slashdot one is less that reliable. Please let me know if it fails often for y’all.
Of course, if you’re still looking at the v3 site, you won’t know what the hell I’m talking about. [/EDIT]
There seems to be a proliferation of people building miniature versions of things (like tanks), or just real versions of things (like mechs).
Here’s a guy who built a large version of something.

This, is a GameMan. Like a GameBoy, but about 3feet taller and 100lbs heavier. Each cartridge weighs in at 8lb. That’s just cool.
I think I’ll add this to my list of “Things to do before I die”. It’s very cool, especially the dual-use jukebox mode.
The term ‘bling-bling’ is to be added to the OED.
What a world we live in.
