This is about scientists who have integrated rat neurons into a robotic arm, and taught it to paint.
Very soon SkyNet will become self-aware.

I dreamt about SOCOM last night.
I had a team and everything. Went on a terrorist hunt, dropping them like flies. Let loose with my handgun cos they rush us, and the sniper rifle has too low a fire rate for CQB (of course).
Then I got shot.
I didn’t like that, so I argued with the guy that shot me.
Best bit is, he agreed he was in the wrong, apologised, then I shot him.
Got a new ADSL modem for the ADSL link that’s going in. Good.
Modem is also a router, which means instant primary firewall/DMZ. Good.
Modem had firmware upgrade available from manufacturer’s website. Good.
Run upgrade utility, get positive response. Good.
Modem displays behaviour associated with corrupt firmware. Bad.
No response (as yet) from tech support. Bad.
Will need to return hardware, at cost, to manufacturer. Bad.
May not see hardware before ADSL link is active. Very, very bad.
To sum up, not only does hardware suck, and software suck, but software designed to upgrade software within hardware sucks with such a unique, blended flavour not found anywhere else in the known universe.
There are now 20 infocom driven games available to play.
Hopefully, some of you will get some use out of them
Given that the site that was supposed to record the defacements got defaced itself, it’s pretty safe to say McHacky Day turned into McSucky Day.
I guess the script kiddies would have to stay up past bedtime to do it, so Mommy said no.
In addition to WAP, I’ve also put up a PDA version!
Soon available at http://pda.kozaru.net, it’s a version optimised for handheld computing.
I did a fancy thing with the file writer script, I added a code to wipe out the directory with the PDA html files, then write an index, followed by an individual file for each post.
Pretty cool I thought.
I guess this means I’ll have to start posting more relevant stuff more often…
I’ve finally got valid WML happening, so that kozaru.net is browseable via WAP.
The hard bit was understanding that WML *will not* support a line break nested within a paragraph, whether it’s an XML one with a slash or not.
So my little WML writer script grabs all the linebreaks and converts them to a “close paragraph/open paragraph” tag pair.
This works because I hard code an opening and closing tag around the post body variable, so I get closure on all tags.
Took fricken ages to figure out.
Anyway, it’s accessable via http://wap.kozaru.net if you want to check it out.
Next project will be to allow me to post new entries via WAP, and allows WAP responses. That will take a bit of fiddling…
Tomorrow is world McHacky Day, where “hackers” all over the world attempt to “hack” 6,000 websites in 6 hours.
Apparently, the number of “hacks” globally have decreased over the past week, as presumably “hackers” have been going out into the sunlight to stock up on cornchips and coca-cola.
Pizza Hut are putting on a second shift worldwide.
I say “hack” in “quotes” because website defacers are not “hackers” they are annoying little gnats that serve to only piss of the rest of the online world. They give hackers a bad name.
in other news, blo.gs is down at the time of writing, so that error over there is not my fault.
