What can I say?
My Dad was not well over the weekend. So much so, that we decided to take him to hospital. 24hrs in emergency later, he’s on a ward with a suspected stroke. 2 CAT scans later, they now think it’s a problem with the fluid in the cochlear that controls balance. the diagnosis was vertebrobasilar ischaemia.However, he wasn’t helping his case at all when the nurse did obs. He’s in the stroke ward, so obs include neuro tests like, do you know where you are, what day is it, etc
This is what happened yesterday.
Nurse: Do you know where you are?
Dad: Yes.
Nurse: … soooo…
Dad: I’m in bed.
Nurse: …. but….where…are you in a hotel…?
Dad: No…hospital.
Nurse: {lets out breath}
Dad: {giggles}
What can I say?
