Me and Sick… not so good
I am Sick. I have a cold. Well, I assume it’s just a cold since there’s no lesions or blood from places blood shouldn’t, on an otherwise healthy person, come out of.
What I *do* have is a Silverback making sweet monkey love to my sinus. Yes, sinus is plural.
I’ve had the associated headache and pressure for a week or two, been taking different pills with words like codeine and ibuprofen and pseudoepedrine printed on the box, and it kept it at bay until 2 days ago when it all dropped into my lower sinus.
I had been moping a bit up till then, mostly around work, but now I’m moping a lot.
Can’t sleep, can’t breathe, eating and drinking means I have to hold my breath, throat hurting…. you get the picture.
One of the people I work for, had no inkling whatsoever that was in any way sick. All that mope-energy for nothing.
Still, the whining paid off, so today I left work early. I’m damn busy at the moment, so I doubt I’ll be able to leave early tomorrow. But we’ll see. I have not yet begun to whine.
