Link Roundup 29/5/08

  • iPrimus is now offering an ADSL2+ package of 200Gb… yes, Two Hundred Giggybytes a month, for $79.95. You get 40Gb peak, 160gb off peak. This would be awesome for me if ADSL2+ was on my exchange. Fortunately, I live on the very edge of 3 different exchanges, and I happen to be connected to the one that doesn’t have the fast stuff.
  • CrispyGamer has an interview with Sean Soucy, the lead designer on EA’s upcoming Lord Of The Rings game, Conquest. It’s Pandemic that’s doing it, and they did Star Wars: Battlefront, which sucked quite a bit, for me anyway, so hopefully they can sort themselves out for this one.
  • The crazy guys at Kotaku have done Grand Theft Auto: DUI. Basically, they got shickered and played the game. We’ve all done it. They got it on tape.
  • VIA have released a new laptop design as Open Source. The CAD files for the casings are available for download, so that OEMs, providers, etc can customise the look for their own products. Is this the future? Open hardware? Hope so.
